The Team expenses view gives you a unified look at what each team member costs your business -- combining salaries, commissions, and any other user-linked expenses in one place.
What are team expenses?
Team expenses aggregate all compensation-related costs per person:
- Salaries -- recurring expenses linked to a user
- Commissions -- percentage-based expenses tied to a user's performance
This view helps you understand total cost per team member, which you can compare against their revenue contribution on the Sales Dashboard.
Viewing team expenses
Navigate to Expenses > Team to see a table of all team members and their expense summary.
Each row shows:
- User name
- Current commission -- their active commission rate (if any), with a status badge (Active, Changing)
- Current salary -- their active salary amount (if any), with a status badge
Managing a user's expenses
Click Manage on a team member to see their full expense timeline:
- All commission records (current and historical)
- All salary records (current and historical)
- Date ranges for each
Commission expenses
Commissions are percentage-based expenses tied to a user:
- They have a start date and optional end date
- They may reference a specific report form field
- Status badges show:
- Active -- currently in effect
- Changing -- a future commission rate is scheduled
Salary/compensation
Salaries are recurring expenses linked to the user:
- Monthly amount with start/end dates
- Status badges work the same as commissions
External contractors
You can also track expenses for people outside your team. These appear with a warning indicator noting they're external, and they're included in the team cost calculations.
