Getting Started

Quick Start Guide

This guide walks you through setting up Limitlytics from scratch. By the end, you'll have your team configured, your first offer created, and your first contact in the pipeline.

Step 1: Create your account

Head to the Limitlytics website and sign up with your name, email, and password. You'll receive a verification email -- click the link to activate your account.

Note: Email verification is required before you can access the app.

Step 2: Set up your team

After verifying your email, you'll be prompted to create your first team. Your team is your workspace -- all contacts, offers, dashboards, and data are scoped to it.

Give your team a name (for example, your company name) and you're in.

If you're an admin, you'll also see a Getting started button in the top-right area of the app header. It tracks your setup progress and links directly to the next recommended steps for your workspace.

Step 3: Configure your currency and settings

Before adding any data, set your team's currency and preferences:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the sidebar
  2. Under General, choose your currency: USD ($), EUR (€), or GBP (£)
  3. Set your high-ticket threshold -- deals at or above this amount are automatically flagged as "high ticket"
  4. Optionally configure your invoice billing profile if you plan to share invoices with customers

Tip: You can change the currency later, but it's best to set it early since it affects all monetary displays throughout the app.

Once you've reviewed these settings, you can mark the workspace settings step as complete from the Getting started checklist in the header.

Step 4: Create your first offer

Offers are the products or services your team sells. You'll need at least one before you can close a deal.

  1. Navigate to Offers in the sidebar
  2. Click Create
  3. Enter the offer name (e.g., "Coaching Package"), set the price, and make sure the status is Active
  4. Save

You can always create more offers later, and even create them on the fly when closing a deal.

Tip: The Getting started checklist can open the create-offer flow directly from the header.

Step 5: Add your first contact

Contacts are the people moving through your sales funnel.

  1. Navigate to Contacts in the sidebar -- this opens the contacts board
  2. Click the Create button
  3. Fill in the contact's name (required), and optionally their email, phone, and source (where they came from)
  4. Save -- your new contact appears in the New lead column

From here, you can drag the contact across columns to progress them through your sales funnel, or click on them to add notes, record payments, and more.

Creating your first contact also completes the related Getting started step for the workspace.

Step 6: Set up data fields and report forms

If your team submits daily activity reports, you'll want to configure data fields and forms:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Data Fields to see the metrics your team tracks
  2. Navigate to Data > Forms to assign fields to each team member with custom questions and targets

Don't worry about this step if you're just exploring -- you can set it up later. See Data Fields and Report Forms for the full guide.

If you decide a step doesn't apply right now, you can ignore it from the checklist. Ignored steps are hidden only for you and no longer count toward your progress percentage.

Step 7: Explore your dashboards

Limitlytics comes with three built-in dashboards:

  • Sales Dashboard -- funnel progress, conversion rates, top offers, upsell analytics, and team performance
  • Financial Dashboard -- cash collected, expenses, profit margins, and category breakdowns
  • Sources Dashboard -- lead sources, paid vs organic performance, ROAS, revenue breakdown, conversion metrics, LTV by source

Navigate to either one from the sidebar to see your data come to life as you add contacts, close deals, and track expenses.

Note: Dashboards are visible to admin users only. If you don't see them, check with your team admin.
