This guide covers how to manage your Limitlytics subscription -- upgrading, downgrading, changing billing cycles, and accessing invoices. All billing is handled through Stripe.
Viewing your current plan
Your subscription details are accessible from your account settings. You can see:
- Your current plan (Silver, Gold, or Platinum)
- Billing cycle (monthly or yearly)
- Next billing date
- Payment method on file
Upgrading your plan
To move to a higher plan (e.g., Silver to Gold, or Gold to Platinum):
- Navigate to your subscription settings
- Select the plan you want to upgrade to
- Confirm the change
Upgrades take effect immediately:
- You gain access to the new plan's features right away
- Additional user slots become available
- If upgrading to Platinum, custom dashboards are unlocked
- Your billing is prorated for the remainder of the current cycle
Downgrading your plan
To move to a lower plan:
- Navigate to your subscription settings
- Select the plan you want to switch to
- Confirm
Before downgrading, consider:
- User limits -- if you have more active users than the new plan allows, you'll need to deactivate users first (e.g., downgrading from Gold to Silver requires going from 3 to 1 active user)
- Custom dashboards -- if downgrading from Platinum, you'll lose access to custom dashboards. Your dashboard configurations are preserved in case you upgrade again later.
Switching billing cycle
To switch between monthly and yearly billing:
- Navigate to your subscription settings
- Select the new billing cycle
- Confirm
Yearly billing saves approximately 17% compared to monthly.
Canceling your subscription
To cancel:
- Navigate to your subscription settings
- Click Cancel subscription
- Confirm
After cancellation:
- You retain access until the end of your current billing period
- Your data is preserved -- if you resubscribe, everything is still there
- Team members lose access when the subscription expires
Payment methods
Limitlytics uses Stripe for all payment processing. To update your payment method:
- Navigate to your subscription settings
- Click Update payment method (or access the Stripe billing portal)
- Enter your new card details
Stripe supports major credit and debit cards.
Invoices
To view and download invoices:
- Navigate to your subscription settings
- Access the billing portal
- Download invoices for any billing period
Invoices are generated automatically after each successful payment.
Common questions
What happens if my payment fails? Stripe will retry the payment a few times. If all retries fail, your subscription may be paused until the payment issue is resolved.
Can I switch plans mid-cycle? Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current cycle.
Will I lose data if I cancel? No. Your data is preserved. If you resubscribe, everything is still there.
Can I get a refund? Contact our support team for refund requests. See Troubleshooting for how to reach us.
