This guide walks you through the Limitlytics interface so you always know where to find things.
Main sidebar
The left sidebar is your primary navigation. What you see depends on your role:
Admin users see:
- Sales Dashboard -- sales performance analytics
- Financial Dashboard -- financial performance analytics
- Sources Dashboard -- performance by lead source
- Custom Dashboards -- any custom dashboards your team has created (Platinum plan)
- Contacts -- manage your pipeline via the contacts board or table view
- Offers -- manage your product/service templates
- Billing -- expands to show Deals, Payment Plans, Invoices, and Payments
- Data -- expands to show Submissions and Forms
- Expenses -- expands to show Fixed, Recurring, Team, and Tax expenses
- Settings -- expands to show Dashboards, Data Fields, and General settings
Regular (non-admin) users see:
- Fill in Form -- their daily report submission page (this is their home screen)
- Contacts -- only their assigned contacts
Key difference: Regular users cannot access dashboards, offers, expenses, settings, or data management. These are admin-only areas.
Sidebar panels
Some sidebar items expand into their own sub-navigation:
Data panel
- Submissions -- view and manage all report submissions
- Forms -- configure which data fields each user reports on
Billing panel
- Deals -- review closed deals, collection progress, next invoice date, and plan end date
- Payment Plans -- manage future installments for multi-month deals
- Invoices -- review draft invoices, finalize them, share public links, and record payments
- Payments -- view the full invoice payment ledger
Expenses panel
- Fixed -- one-time expenses
- Recurring -- monthly recurring expenses
- Team -- per-user salary and commission breakdown
- Tax -- tax expenses linked to data fields
Settings panel

- Data Fields -- view all data fields and their user assignments
- General -- currency, high-ticket threshold, and invoice billing profile settings
User menu
Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner to access:
- Profile -- update your name, email, and password
- Timezone -- set your timezone (affects report date calculations)
- Team switching -- switch between teams if you belong to more than one
- Logout
Top-right actions
The top-right area of the app includes Getting started, Quick actions, and Need help?.
- Getting started -- an admin-only onboarding checklist for setting up the workspace It shows your current progress, links directly to setup actions like creating an offer or opening forms, and lets you ignore steps that don't apply to you. Once every visible step is completed or ignored, the topbar button disappears for your user. You can still manage ignored steps later from the Support page.
- Quick actions -- a role-aware shortcut menu for common tasks Admins can launch Fill in form, View forms, Create contact, Create one-time expense, Create recurring expense, Create offer, and Record upsell directly from the top bar. Regular users see a smaller set focused on Fill in form, View forms and Create contact.
- Need help? -- opens the in-app support page with quick links to email support, documentation, the affiliate program, premium chat for eligible Platinum teams, and checklist management for admins
Timezone indicator
Limitlytics detects your browser's timezone and compares it to your account timezone. If they don't match, you'll see a pulsing indicator next to your name prompting you to update.
You can:
- Update now -- sync your account timezone to match your browser
- Snooze -- dismiss the prompt for 24 hours
- Ignore -- dismiss until the next session
This matters because report submissions are tracked relative to your timezone. See User Profile & Timezone for details.
Dark mode
Limitlytics supports dark mode. Toggle it from the theme switcher in the bottom-left of the sidebar. Your preference is saved and persists across sessions.
Quick navigation tips
- Dashboards are always one click away in the sidebar
- Contacts defaults to the contacts board -- switch to the table view using the tab at the top
- Use the search bar in the contacts table to quickly find someone by name or email
- Breadcrumbs at the top of each page help you orient yourself within nested sections
